Pasha Chibis
From an early age, Pasha Chibis was surrounded by artists who were friends and colleagues of his father. These encounters with masters of the arts not only influenced Pasha’s career choice but also shaped his creative personality and professional outlook. Some of the distinguished artists from his family circle became not just mentors, but also sources of inspiration for him.
Pasha’s journey into art began with his graduation from the Richter Art School in Moscow in 2000. Studying there awakened in him a passion for deep contemplation and taught him to approach reality with creativity, opening paths for new ideas and boundless perspectives.
The following year, Pasha entered the Moscow State Technical University "MAMI" in the design department, where he focused on transportation design. Alongside his university studies, he continued honing his skills in painting and drawing, taking private lessons with renowned Moscow artists whose works were displayed in prestigious galleries and major exhibitions around the capital. These years of intensive artistic engagement soon allowed him to join the ranks of Moscow's exhibiting artists.
In 2006, upon graduating from MAMI, Pasha became a certified specialist in transportation design. His university education, complementing his artistic thinking, provided him with technical knowledge and a fresh perspective on the complex aspects of life. This background led him to explore and depict themes like automobiles, space, landscapes viewed from unusual angles, and philosophical compositions.
As a professional artist, Pasha began actively exhibiting his work in Moscow. Since 2007, he has been a regular participant in exhibitions at the Vernissage in Gorky Park, a central tourist hub in Moscow near the Central House of Artists. Here, among many talented artists—such as Lev Loginov, Gennady Lysak, Olesya Orlova, Slava Gayun, and others—Pasha presents his works to Muscovites and visitors from around the world.
In addition to his role as an artist, he also serves on the council of Vernissage artists and is a council member of the Professional Union of Independent Artists. Pasha participates in various art projects at Moscow venues—from galleries to exhibitions and auctions. Along with his father, he initiated three art galleries in Moscow, and from 2015 to 2018, his works were also displayed at his own gallery in the Central House of Artists.
In 2018, Pasha moved with his family to the Black Sea coast in Sochi. There, a new chapter of his art journey began, along with a collaboration with the “Fort” Art Gallery, located in a historic building near the seaport. In 2019, his solo exhibition took place at the gallery, and his works have remained in a permanent display there ever since. Sochi, as a popular resort city, attracted art lovers from all over Russia and beyond, and Pasha's paintings have become part of many private collections across the country and the world.
At the end of 2022, Pasha and his family relocated to Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he continues his creative development, collaborating with local art galleries showcasing his work. His paintings span a variety of styles and themes, created on canvases with acrylic paints. He is inspired by themes of automobiles and the infinite cosmos, exploring the expressive possibilities of multilayered glazing, creating unique textures and effects that captivate and immerse the viewer in the depths of his creative world.
In creating his paintings, Pasha employs a unique technique using textured acrylic paste and the expressive possibilities of multilayered glazes. This approach allows him to create voluminous and intricate painterly effects, adding unique expressiveness and depth to his works, inviting the viewer to reach out and feel the objects depicted in his pieces.Â
In addition to his work in painting, Pasha has excelled in creating 3D design projects, including medical equipment design, medical facility design, automotive and aircraft design, and various industrial design products.Â
